FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: brown coal is dried using energy of hot gas leaving the furnace for production of liquid cast-iron; brown coal is subject to destructive distillation; quick dry cooling of carbon-containing material obtained at drying and distillation stages is performed; carbon-containing material obtained at the above said drying, distillation and quick dry cooling stages is agglomerated with material containing metal oxide so that an agglomerate can be obtained, and the agglomerate is used during production of liquid cast-iron.
EFFECT: invention ensures high energy use efficiency, improved physical properties of agglomerates and high capacity of a melting furnace.
