SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to versions of dressing applicable for wound cover retaining on a head or a dento-facial area in treating and preventing postoperative manipulations. The wound cover retainer is configured as a stretchable strap of non-woven material, one end of which is provided with a fastener used to attach to the respective section of the other end of this strap. The strap is stretchable be means of some seams, each of which contains an elastic thread. The seams are spaced from each other along longer edges of the strap. The strap has a narrowed mid-portion. According to the second version, the retainer is configured as a headwear of non-woven material provided with slings provided with fasteners used to attach them together. To provide better fitting, the elastic thread seams are ensured along the perimeter of the headwear and slings. The headwear can be configured with an open crown.

EFFECT: better ability of the device to fit the patient's head to avoid hampering and hindering patient's facial gestures and chewing motions, however holding the wound cover in place reliably.
