SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and can be used to generate broadband random stationary signals with given characteristic and cross-spectral power densities. The apparatus comprises a single-processor computer, software for generating, based on given spectral densities Sx(f) and Sy(f), random signals in Rice-Pearson decomposition form with random phases Θi and Ωi at each harmonic fi, the phases defined by random sampling of a random value, one of which - Θi for the signal x(t) is uniformly distributed in the range [-π, π], and the other - Ωi for the second signal y(t) is defined as the sum Ωii+Δφi of the random value Θi and the random value Δφi, uniformly distributed in the range [-φi, φi], the boundaries of which are defined through the cross-spectral density Sxy(f) of random signals x(t) and y(t), followed by an inverse fast Fourier transform procedure, a digital-to-analogue converter module for converting the generated digital signals into analogue signals of the generator.

EFFECT: generating two random signals with a given coherence function.
