METHOD OF SIMULATING RADAR TARGET WITH NONLINEAR ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01S7/40

Abstract RU 2507534 C2

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: method of simulating a radar target with nonlinear electrical properties involves elements of a receiving antenna array receiving a probing signal of a nonlinear radar station with carrier frequency f0, propagating the probing signal on corresponding receiving channels, converting the spectrum of the probing signal in each channel and generating signals at harmonics of the probing signal, further establishing a binary code of the threshold level of the signal of the radar target with nonlinear electrical properties, amplifying the signal received by elements of the receiving antenna array, converting the level of said signal to a binary code, comparing the binary code of the level of the received signal with the binary code of the threshold level of the signal of the radar target with nonlinear electrical properties; if the signal exceeds the threshold, generating in the binary code a random number i = 1, N ¯ , where N is the number of phase shifts, according to which the phase of the signal of each channel is shifted by a value Δ ϕ i = 2 π i N in accordance with the condition Δ φ 1 = 2 π N 0, ΔφN=2π, the amplifying spectral components subjected to the random phase shift Δφi in each channel to a level required for radio suppression of the nonlinear radar station, and elements of a transmitting antenna array emitting harmonic signals of the probing signal with a random full phase towards the nonlinear radar station, wherein the receiving and transmitting antenna arrays are a Van-Atta array, and elements of the receiving and transmitting antenna arrays are wideband.

EFFECT: low probability of detecting objects with nonlinear electrical properties by introducing uncertainty in phase parameters of radar signals received by a nonlinear synthetic-aperture radar station.
