FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to composition of austenitic stainless steel. Steel contains the following, wt %: up to 0.20 C, 2.0-9.0 Mn, up to 2.0 Si, 15.0-23.0 Cr, 3.0-6.0 Ni, 0.5-1.0 Mo, 0.05-0.35 N, (7.5(%C))≤(%Nb+%Ti+%V+%Ta+%Zr)≤1.5, 0.0005-0.01 B, and Fe and inevitable impurities are the rest. Steel has a value of numeric equivalent of stability to pitting corrosion PREN of 18 to 22.
EFFECT: providing high corrosion resistance, stability to deformations at increased temperatures, as well as ability to moulding at relatively low levels of Ni and Mo contents.
