SUBSTANCE: imaging apparatus (10) includes: an image capturing device (14), which includes multiple photoelectric conversion elements which are ordered in a predefined first direction and a second direction; a colour filter having a repeating basic matrix structure which includes a first filter which corresponds to a first colour having the highest contribution in obtaining a brightness signal, and second filters which correspond to second colours, which are arranged in the form of a predefined structure; an activation unit (22), which activates the image capturing device (14), for the pixel matrix for reading from the image capturing device (14), such that pixel data of pixels located in a given cycle in at least one direction of the first direction and the second direction are read to obtain a second matrix different from the first matrix, which expresses the matrix of all pixels read from the image capturing device (14); an image processing unit (20) which corrects pixel data of a pixel object for correcting colour mixing based on pixel data of a pixel having the same colour as an adjacent pixel, directly adjacent to the pixel object in a first matrix and which is a pixel having the shortest distance from the adjacent pixel in the first matrix.
EFFECT: designing an imaging apparatus capable of correcting colour mixing with high accuracy.
