FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method to improve accuracy of eddy current non-destructive testing consists in the following: prior to eddy current testing an item is affected by the load being sufficient to detect a hypothetical fault like a crack in the control point up to the value which would provide for increased detectability of the fault and make it detectable.
EFFECT: improved operation characteristics of items due to the improved accuracy of detecting cracks of operation origin or process faults with low opening like hardening cracks.
