FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates method of obtaining 2',4,4'-trinitrobenzanilide - half-product of synthesis of 5(6)-amino-2-(4-aminophenyl)-benzimidazole, applied as monomer in production of thermostable, fireproof and highly strong fibres and films. Method is realised by acylation of 2,4-dinitroaniline with 4-nitro-benzoylchloride in medium of organic solvent with heating in presence of chloric iron as catalyst under pressure of inert gas flow to 0.3 MPa with the following separation of target product by filtration and crystallisation.
EFFECT: reduction of acylation stage duration and increase of process productivity.
