FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: method describes wrapping of respective unit of packing along the direction of its movement on the transportation section by film at simultaneous formation of film overlapping and folded sides of the lap protruding respectively from the lateral transverse sides above the packing unit, applying of the folded sides of the lap to the packing unit when passing folded unit and simultaneous mutual fixing of the folded sides of the lap at formation of the wrapper close from all sides. The folded sides of the lap are folded by means of at least one fixed and one folding working body moving together with the packing unit. The folding unit is fitted with two fixed folding working bodies and two simultaneously moving folding working bodies. The jointly moving folding working bodies are designed, on the one hand, as a rotating folding plate, and on the other hand, as the folding gripper moving together with packing unit, and the folding is controlled in such a way that separate stages of folding completely or partially interact in time. The device for the method implementation contains a wrapping unit for wrapping by film of the respective packing unit on the transportation section alone the movement direction and for simultaneous creation of film overlapping and folded sides of the lap protruding respectively from the lateral transverse sides above the packing unit. Thus a design of the folding assembly same as it is described in method.
