SUBSTANCE: rectangular package (10), especially for cigarettes, is surrounded by an outer wrapper (11) made of a film. The latter is removed by means of a tear-off strip (19). In the area of the rear wall (14) of the package (10), a label (23) with an excise stamp is applied thereon, so that when the tear-off strip is activated, or when the outer wrapper (11) is removed, the label (23) with the excise stamp is torn along at least one perforation line (29) in such a way that at least one part (24) remains in connection with the package (10), and the other part (25) - in connection with the outer wrapper (11).
EFFECT: increasing the convenience.
