FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: test section of a wind tunnel comprises a pressure chamber, perforated walls at the flow borders and silencing grids. The silencing grids with permeability of 5-70% are installed on that side of the perforated walls that are not flowed about by the working flow.
EFFECT: reduction of background noise and prevention of adverse influence of the grid on the gas flow in the working flow in the tunnel.
