FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to testing, in particular to vibration testing, and can be used to determine defects in the vehicle assemblies and equipment. Method means that vibro-acoustic signal is amplified, filtered, time discretised. Then each next step of the discretisation determines the total value of results of the non-linear integral transformations by function y(x)=sin(x)*x2 of the one after another N samples of the vibro-acoustic signal, the obtained value is compared with the threshold level Δ. If the threshold level is exceeded the signal of the defect presence is generated. The device contains connected in series vibration transmitter with amplifier, filer, discretisation block, block of nonlinear integral transformations, block of determination of total values of samples, comparator. The clock pulse generator is connected with second input of the discretisation block and second input of the block of determination of total values of samples. The threshold level generator is connected with the second input of the comparator that is the circuit output.

EFFECT: increased validity of the defects identification.
