FIELD: vibroacoustic diagnosis of turbomachines, mainly antifriction bearings of twin-shaft aircraft gas-turbine engines. SUBSTANCE: method includes setting one shaft in rotation and measuring amplitude magnitudes of vibration acceleration and averaged magnitude for estimation of diagnosis threshold level; then, measured amplitude magnitudes of vibration acceleration are compared with diagnosis threshold level and the results of this comparison will be indicative of presence and degree of defects of intershaft bearings; diagnosis threshold level is changed in the course of diagnosis process; used as diagnosis threshold level is sum of magnitudes of reference voltage fed from adjustable source and present averaged magnitude of vibration acceleration equal to present root-mean-square magnitude of vibration acceleration. Device for vibroacoustic diagnosis of intershaft antifriction bearings of twin-shaft turbomachines includes vibration sensor, matching amplifier, filter, root-mean-square magnitude detector, amplitude magnitude detector, adjustable source of reference voltage, indicators, reading instrument, control unit and at least two comparators interconnected as required.
