SUBSTANCE: shovel is designed for making narrow trenches of great depth. The shovel comprises a base 1 comprising a blade 2 and a shank 3, a spring-loaded clamp 5 pivotally connected with the base and located in front of the base. For making narrow and deep trenches and ease of use the supports 7 for feet are fixed on the shaft along its length. The pitch of placement of the supports is uniform and comparable with the height of the blade. The length of the supports is less than the width of the blade. The supports are fixed symmetrically with respect to the shaft.

EFFECT: enhanced ease of use of the shovel while digging narrow trenches of great depth.
