FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: drawbar for lightweight road-train consists of ball with pull bar fixed on vehicle and interacting with hemispherical head of trailer towbar. The pulling bar consists of two cylindrical parts, and one of them is made hollow, fixed on vehicle and provided with flat-topped groove on its external generating surface. One segment of groove is located in horizontal plane parallel to bar axis of symmetry, and the other segment is displaced by certain angle relative to previous one. In the groove, retainer pin is movably placed which pin is rigidly fixed on other solid-section segment of cylindrical bar rigidly connected to ball. Butt end of this segment of solid-section bar interacts with compression spring installed inside hollow segment of the mentioned hollow bar.

EFFECT: design simplification and higher reliability of lightweight road-train coupling.
