FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to trackless vehicles. Tow unit of a lightweight road-train comprises a ball head with rod rigidly fixed on bracket of tow unit and pivotally connected with hemispherical connecting rod end head of trailer. Tow unit bracket in its end part is hollow and has rectangular section. In the longitudinal hollow plane of the bracket there is a movable fork that is spring-loaded with screw cylindrical compression spring. Fork consists of two different-width sections and interacts with thrust. Fork with its section, smaller in width, is in contact with the circular recess made in rod of ball head. Rod is located in vertical holes made in the bracket.
EFFECT: higher reliability of tow units of light-weight road-trains.
