FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of electroblasting sputtering on a friction surface of composite coatings of the TiB2-Mo system. A powder charge of titanium diboride is arranged between two layers of a molybdenum foil. A pulse multiphase plasma jet is formed by electric blasting of the foil and it is used for the fusion of the friction surface at the specific energy flow value of 3.5…4.5 GW/m2. Plasma jet components are sputtered onto the fused layer with further self-hardening and formation of a composite coating containing titanium diboride and molybdenum.
EFFECT: obtaining a coating having high wear resistance and micro hardness and high adhesion of the coating to the base.
