SUBSTANCE: invention relates to clocks. The device (1) comprises a display unit (3) for displaying current time and a control unit (2) for actuating the display unit (3). The display unit (3) is actuated by the control unit (2) such that in a first operating mode (8), during a predetermined sleep time of a user, the exact current time is darkened, and in a second operating mode (9), during the day, the exact current time is displayed.
EFFECT: fewer factors disturbing a person during sleep.
