FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: cardan shaft with hinges of equal rotational speeds of rolling friction (1) contains hinges (1) kinematically linked with shaft (3) ends (2), each hinge contains hollow body (4) sealed from rear and having races (5), at shaft (3) end (2) by means of the spline joint (6) a cage (7) with races (8) is installed, control bushing (9) with possibility of sliding over the shaft (3) and with possibility of contact by its first end face (10) with rest (11), and by second end face (12) with end face (13) of the cage (7), balls (14) in races (5, 8) and in windows (15) of the cage carrier (16) having spherical areas (17, 18). The hinges (1) are sealed at front with bellows (20), each of them is installed on seats (21, 22) of the body (4) and at end (2) of installation areas of larger (23) and smaller (24) diameters, respectively. Bushing (9) of each hinge (1) is locked against possibility of rotation relatively to the end (2) by the appropriate interacting elements (25) and (26) made in it and in end (2), it is also made with grooves (27) for balls (14) and opposite located races (8) with creation between them in the bushing body (9) of the projecting beaks (28), on which there are areas of spherical surface (19) in contact with the spherical area (18). The bottom parts (29) of the surface generatrix of the grooves (27) of the bushing (9) of each hinge (1) are located between planes (α) and (β) of its first (10) and second (12) end faces, respectively.

EFFECT: improved technical characteristics of the cardan shaft, namely increased maximum work angles of its hinges and increased relative movement of their bodies and shaft, thus ensuring the cardan shaft use for vehicles with increased road clearance and suspension travel.
