FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: when measuring a sensor signal, one voltage jump is added to a stepwise sawtooth modulating signal during a period thereof; the amplitude of the jump is equal to the amplitude of the modulating signal and the duration is half the duration of one step thereof. The voltage jump is carried out at a time corresponding to the linear portion of the output interferometric signal received during the previous period of the modulating signal.
EFFECT: stabilising the scaling factor of a modulator and high accuracy of measuring an interferometric signal.
