SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when designing fibre-optic gyroscopes and other physical quantity sensors based on single-mode light guides. An electronic device for testing the electronic unit of a fibre-optic gyroscope, having a generator which generates a signal - a gyroscope rotation signal analogue, a generator which generates a signal - a gyroscope mismatch signal analogue, and three adders, enables to synthesise an optical signal analogue and determine basic characteristics of the electronic unit of the fibre-optic gyroscope with high accuracy.

EFFECT: invention provides high accuracy of determining basic characteristics of the electronic unit of a fibre-optic gyroscope without using an optical unit.
