SIGNAL DEMODULATOR WITH RELATIVE PHASE MODULATION Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC H03D3/00

Abstract RU 2549360 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: autocorrelation function of a signal is shaped, integrated and compared to a threshold value that is formed depending on the availability of a demodulated logic signal "One" or "Zero" in the previous cycle. For that purpose, there additionally introduced is a threshold adaptation unit (TAU), an input of the initial threshold level, a signal input, the input of an adaptive threshold and the output of which are connected to a constant generator output, to a decider unit output, to a shaping unit output and to the input of a threshold level of the decider unit respectively. With that, TAU consists of an adder, a polarity corrector, a non-linear corrector and a subtractor; with that, the first input of the subtractor is the input of the TAU initial threshold level, and the second input is the input of the TAU adaptive threshold; the subtractor output is connected to the input of the TAU non-linear corrector, the output of which is connected to the second input of the polarity corrector, the first input of which is the TAU signal input, and the polarity corrector output is connected to the second input of the adder, the output of which is the TAU output, and the first input of the adder is the input of the TAU initial threshold level.

EFFECT: reduction of errors occurring as a result of action of interference, due to changing the threshold voltage level as per a quadratic law, depending on One or Zero values obtained at the output of the decider unit in previous cycles, thus providing an increase of interference immunity.
