FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and particularly to surgical instruments for laparoscopic operations on a greater duodenal papilla. A 400-mm probe with an olive on a movable end applicable for laparoscopic operations on the greater duodenal papilla has a triggered handle and a working part with its configurable/movable portion. The configurable/movable portion has the length of 25 mm and the diameter of 5 mm. An olive-shaped metal olive of the maximum diameter of 9 mm and the length of 10 mm is mounted at 10 mm from an end of the configurable/movable portion of the probe, i.e. on the movable end of the probe. Using the invention enables performing technically challenging laparoscopic surgical interventions on the greater duodenal papilla. Bending the instrument in the abdominal cavity enables delivering the greater duodenal papilla to a surgeon-friendly position that makes it possible to have the operated area in clear sight and to manipulate it that facilitates the surgical procedure. There is a possibility to manipulate the difficult to access duodenal papilla found in diverticulum. Providing the operational comfort reduces the length of the operation and anaesthetic support, ensures the lower number of intraoperative injuries, hence makes the period of staying in hospital and rehabilitation shorter.
EFFECT: laparoscopic approach improves the cosmetic effect of the operation.
