SUBSTANCE: toothbrush comprises a head, a handle, a neck connecting the head to the distal end of the handle and a mechanical vibration device. The handle stretches along a longitudinal axis, with the proximal end of the handle containing a flat base surface. The handle contains an extended gripping section and a base section detachably connected to the extended gripping section. The base section contains a flat base surface and a narrowed part with cross section area less than that of the flat base part. The neck connects the head to the distal end of the handle and stretches along a longitudinal axis slanted at an acute angle (approximately 10° - 60°) relative to the longitudinal axis of the handle. The mechanical vibration device is functionally connected to the power supply and contains an eccentric piece imparting vibration to the head for actuation of the mechanical vibration device. The mechanical vibration device is positioned in the neck while the eccentric piece is displaced relative to the handle longitudinal axis. The flat base surface is oriented relative to the handle longitudinal axis so that the toothbrush may have a self-supporting vertical orientation on the essentially horizontal flat surface; while the toothbrush is having such self-supporting vertical orientation, with the mechanical vibration device actuated, the toothbrush rotates round the longitudinal axis, preserving its self-supporting vertical orientation.
