FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the conversion of thermal energy into electrical one. Essence: a thermoelectric generator system comprises a control unit (202) and a thermoelectric cell (204) with a heat-absorbing surface (212) and a cooled surface (214). Heat (216) is supplied from a heater (208) through a thermoelectric generator (204). Depending on electric power transferred to load (232), the control unit (202) regulates current generated by the thermoelectric generator (204). Through the thermoelectric cell (204) current is used to limit the operating temperature of the heat-absorbing surface (212).
EFFECT: extended service life and improved reliability of the thermoelectric generator.
