FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle air conditioning. SUBSTANCE: proposed air conditioning system has thermoelectric converter employing for its operation Peltier effect. Thermoelectric converter has two heat exchange surfaces and two air ducts of system external part. Rotary flap, first heat exchanger, first forced draught fan and deflector are installed in first air duct. Second heat exchanger and second forced draught fan are installed in second air duct. First heat exchange surface of thermoelectric converter is in heat contact with first heat exchanger, and second heat exchange surface is in heat contact with first end of heat tube. Second of heat tube is in heat contact with second heat exchanger. Thermoelectric converter is connected to storage battery through supply voltage polarity change-over switch and distributing and supply control unit. Solar battery arranged on automobile is used as voltage supply source when automobile is at parking. System is furnished with temperature controller. Design versions of heat exchangers make it possible to use air conditioning system under various climatic conditions. EFFECT: reduced power consumption, mass-and-dimension characteristics and noise level in zone of operation, enhanced efficiency and riding comfort under various climatic conditions. 8 cl, 3 dwg
