FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method of lignocellulosic biomass hydrolysis is offered. Step (A) contacting a lignocellulosic feedstock, the feedstock comprises a biomass having a dry content and water with at least a portion of a solvent, the solvent comprises water soluble hydrolysed products, resulting from the step (B) enzymatic hydrolysis. The solvent mass to the feedstock mass ratio is 0.8:1. Step (B) maintaining the contact between the feedstock of the feedstock stream and the solvent, over a catalyst comprising at least one enzyme or a microorganism capable of converting a compound in the biomass into a low molecular weight compound(s). The temperature at the step (B) is maintained within the range of 20°C to 200°C for the period sufficient to create a hydrolysed product from the biomass in the feedstock.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to speed up the lignocellulosic biomass hydrolysis process, utilise the feedstock with the dry matter content of 15 - 80%, run the process free from organic acids and at the atmospheric pressure.
