FIELD: physics, video.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to closed-circuit television systems and can be used in surveillance and measurement equipment, space navigation devices, positioning devices, in spacecraft control systems as an orientation sensor, where the information signal source used is matrix photodetectors with charge storage. The technical result is high accuracy of measuring the position of the centre of gravity of an image obtained by a CCD-based photodetector array. The method of determining coordinates of the centre of gravity of an image includes making an adjustment corresponding to the additive component of image distortions, correcting the processed signals in inverse proportion to the multiplicative component of distortions and generating groups of horizontal integral signals, weighed with weights inverse to nonlinear distortions of the photodetector array, said signals being the base for determining coordinates of the centre of gravity of the image.
EFFECT: eliminating the effect of image distortions typical for CCD arrays.
