FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: ultrawideband video pulses are formed with the duration of 10-11-10-8 s. The video pulses are emitted by the transmitting antenna (2) arranged in the dielectric housing in different azimuthal directions in the plane perpendicular to the borehole axis. The video pulses are recorded by the receiving antenna unit (3) arranged in the dielectric housing. The full-wave form of the registered signal is recorded, provided in the form of two-dimensional frame of "amplitude- time of delay" using which the azimuthal anisotropy of the medium is estimated. The received information is processed in real time. The result of processing is visualised in the 4D representation. The system for implementing the method comprises the transmitting and the receiving units. At that the transmitting unit comprises a device (not shown in the drawing) providing the formation of ultrawideband video pulses with the duration of 10-11-10-8 s, a transmitter (1), one or more transmitting antennas (2) arranged in the dielectric housing. The receiving unit comprises one or more receiving antennas (3) with the matching devices (4) arranged in the dielectric housing, a switch (5), a receiver (6), a unit (7) of control and connection with a personal computer, an antenna (8) of synchronisation, and an optic-fibre line (9) of synchronisation. The receiving antennas (3) are arranged in the dielectric housing in such a configuration which provides forming the directive diagram of the unit of the receiving antennas in two modes: radiosounding and continuous electromagnetic transmission probing.

EFFECT: increase in informativeness of logging by increasing the dynamic range of signals, enhanced functional capabilities - the possibility of implementing both radiosounding and continuous electromagnetic transmission probing, and at a considerable distance from the axis of the borehole.
