FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: brake shoe includes a composite friction element, a wire framework consisting of wide and narrow frames welded to each other, a solid insert with projections, which is inserted into the narrow frame of the wire framework, and a metal mesh or a perforated metal strip. In the wide frame of the wire framework the side parts of the frame, which are arranged on side surfaces of the rear part of the shoe, are concave to the central part of the surface of the rear part of the shoe. Concavity of side parts of the wide frame is 0.1÷5.0 mm.
EFFECT: increasing resistance of a shoe to impact thermal and mechanical loads at operation by providing more uniform distribution of thermal and mechanical loads on the rear part of the shoe due to shortening of the distance between a wider frame and a solid insert; reducing the number of shoes during production, which are rejected as per the "output of the wire of the frame onto the side surface of the shoe - baring of the wire framework" parameter.
