SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the chemical industry. A method for cleaning and recovering a chemical compound from its crystal suspension in a mother solution involves transporting a crystal layer (5) top down in a wash column. The crystals are separated from the lower end of the crystal layer by means of a rotating output device and melted; a portion of the crystal melt is re-directed towards the crystal layer as a wash melt. An output device (16) is mounted on a driving shaft (18) inserted into the wash column from below through an input having a sealing. The driving shaft (18) rotates about its long axis by means of a driving unit and is mounted in one bearing. A unit in one of the bearings takes up the force directed to the driving shaft (18) downwards; in two or more bearings, it takes up the force generated from the driving shaft outside in the radial direction, and in one of the bearings it takes up the force having an effect of the driving shaft upwards.

EFFECT: invention enables cleaning and recovering the target chemical compound from its crystal suspension in the mother solution with the device operating stably.
