FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: double-stage liquid ring machine comprises separated casings of the first and the second stages connected by a branch pipe with wheels being set in them with eccentricity. The shaft of the first stage passes through the hollow shaft of the second stage and is connected to it by gear. The branch pipe is equipped by a T-piece where an electromagnetic baffle is mounted and specifies the direction of the gas phase movement. The gear is additionally fitted by an electromagnetic clutch. The electromagnetic clutch and baffles are controlled by a pneumatic-electric sensor installed at the first stage inlet. The gear is a mechanism in the form of a double-disk frontal variable-speed drive with an intermediate roller and a chain drive, allowing for the adjustment of rotation speed of the second stage in relation to the first one. The adjustment is performed due to the movement of the body of the bearings at the intermediate roller in respect to the gear body with gear ratio of the variable drive being changed.
EFFECT: development of a double-stage liquid ring machine providing for a double-stage vacuumisation process at which the machine performance is adjusted involving the change of rotation speeds of the first and second stages depending on the setting degree of pressure increase ensuring the stable operation under ultimate vacuum.
