FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps and compressors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed two-stage liquid-ring machine has first and second stage housing separated by intermediate chamber. Shafts are installed in housing with eccentricity and are provided with fitted-on impellers of first and second stages and end face covers with suction and delivery ports. Impellers of first and second stages are of equal diameters. Shaft of first stage passes through hollow shaft of second stage. Ends of shafts are coupled by train in form of two-step reduction gear providing different angular velocities on periphery of impellers. Proposed two-stage liquid-ring machine provides optimum ratio of peripheral speeds of impellers.
EFFECT: increased capacity and improved efficiency of machine.
