CHAIN VARIATOR WITH AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED PITCH Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC F16H9/24 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: chain variator with automatically changed pitch together with reverse gear is installed in common casing (7) with lid (2), and contains multi-link closed chain (3) that is located between drive and driven cone wheels (4) and (5), respectively, and for the second stage between the corresponding wheels (4') and (5'). The chain (3) is made out of external and internal plat stamped cheeks (8) and (9). The internal cheeks (8) are rigidly connected with each other using the central bushes (10), in them one-by-one the external and internal connecting pins (11) and (12) are located. The external and internal removable pins (13) and (14) are secured using the thrust quick-detachable washers (15). The chain (3) has rollers (16), installed in cantilevers of the internal pins (12) and (14), also flat washers (17) are provided. Structure also includes limiters of chain (3) zigzag stowage in form of the external compression and internal spreading central rings (20) and (21). The chain (3) is also equipped with rollers (22) installed on the cylindrical surface of the central bushes (10) and in contact with rings (20) and (21).

EFFECT: reduced dynamic loads upon contact with power elements of the chain and slots of cone wheels of the variator upon increasing of the chain torsion force.
