FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: fusion charge is obtained by dosing and mixing basic glass-forming materials, which consist of 52-64% of quartz sand, dolomite, chalk, soda ash, feldspar, sodium sulphate and additives (sodium nitrate, sodium chloride, selenium, cobalt oxide and iron-containing component). As additional iron and silica-containing material used is 0.5-7% of diatomite with humidity 5-10% and iron content 2-5%, and as selenium-containing component applied is 3.22-11.49% water solution of sodium selenite in quantity 0.04-0.5% from weight of prepared portion of charge. Selenite solution is preliminarily mixed with diatomite and quartz sand, and then other components are supplied and general mixing and moistening of charge are carried out.
EFFECT: reduction of volatilising of expensive selenium during transportation of charge and glass cooking.
