FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for ensuring user confidentiality and validity of data transmitted to a server by a vehicle device. The method comprises steps of: moving a device during a period of time; receiving data using the device during the period of time; processing the received data using the device; reducing the processed data using the device into a matrix, wherein rows and columns of the matrix define conditions for moving the device, and the matrix contains a plurality of matrix elements, each matrix element including a distance covered by the device during the period of time with a pair of said predefined movement conditions; and transmitting the data from the device to the server.

EFFECT: reduced computational load on the vehicle device owing to realisation of a presented structure of data containing information on movement conditions and the travelled distance, transmitted to a server.
