FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to squirrel-cage rotor for asynchronous machine, which has booster rods to improve start-up mode and as well to method of squirrel-cage rotor manufacturing. The squirrel-cage rotor comprises a steel plate pack of the rotor with slots and operating rods, which join the rotor steel plate pack directly at the slot base. The operating rods have partial shell surrounding their outer surface. Partial shell is formed concave at the side faced to the operating rod and convex at the side turned off from the operating rod. The operating rods enter slots so that the respective operating rod is outputted to the area of booster rod. Material of the operating rods has higher specific conductivity than material of partial shell. Squirrel-cage rotor has short-circuiting rings made of material of partial shell, which connect operating rods electrically and partial shells of operating rods at both end surfaces of the squirrel-cage rotor.
EFFECT: improved start-up mode and efficiency factor.
