SUBSTANCE: device comprises a first part engageable with the trough, the tray and the like, comprising a hollow circular element, a first plurality of engaging teeth in or on the inner surface of the hollow element, the circular element extending outwardly from the outer surface of the hollow circular element having a rectangular cross- section, the first means having an upper surface part, engageable with the lower surface of the circular element for retaining the hollow circular element and rotating around it of the hollow circular element, a second means, having a part of its lower surface located above and facing the upper surface of the circular element for retaining the hollow circular in place, the third means engageable with each of the first and second means for maintaining the distance between the part of the upper surface of the first means and the part of the lower surface of the second means. The device comprises a second part located in or on the trough, the tray and the like, when the first part is located on the container and in or on one of the said trough, the tray and the like. The second part has a second plurality of engagement teeth located on the circular element located on its outer surface, with a pitch for response engagement with the first plurality of teeth.

EFFECT: invention provides retention and retrieval from the holder of portable containers without tipping.
