FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: protective insert from overheating, which is removable piece of clothing of fireman, or one of its pieces, comprises a multilayer material having thermal resistance. According to the invention the insert is formed of at least two layers (1) of gas-impermeable material with the ability of formation between these layers of sealed space filled by the cooling gas, in particular nitrogen. At that on one of the layers or on the additional lining the springs (2) of the shape memory material are fixed, in particular nitinol, having the shape of flat spirals which are rolled in a circle under isothermal conditions. The source of cooling gas is used as a cartridge (3) with nitrogen, provided with a release valve (4) with an element of the shape memory material and a grip (5). The cartridge (3) is secured between the layers (1) moved apart by the springs (2), with the possibility of its extraction for refilling with nitrogen. At that along the contour of the protective insert the airtight joints are made, forming the part with the inner through cavity formed by the layers (1) of the fabric. In this cavity, the cartridge (3) with nitrogen is hermetically mounted, facing by the release valve (4) inwards the space between the layers, and the grip (5) outwards. The release valve is mounted in the neck (7) of the cartridge (3) with the possibility of automatic activation in case of a certain temperature rise. The neck (7) of the cartridge is provided with the inner threaded hole, in which the nipple (8) is mounted with a spindle (9). Outside the housing (8) of the nipple is closed by a cover (10) of the release valve, mounted by the threaded connection. In the cover (10) an outlet hole (11) is made, and a spring (12) of nitinol is fixed with its one end. At the other end of the spring (12) a ring (13) with a support element (14) is attached with the ability of free displacement in the housing (8) of the nipple, located in the centre of the ring (13) with the ability of interaction with the spool (9) of the nipple (8).
EFFECT: increase in thermal resistance of clothing and improvement of safety of firemen when extinguishing fire sources.
