FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam, which comprises mixing a) a polyisocyanate component with b) compounds having at least two hydrogen atoms which are reactive toward isocyanate groups in the presence of c) blowing agents, wherein component b) contains castor oil bi) and at least one hydroxyl-terminated polyether, and the reaction is conducted in the presence of a compound selected from a group comprising alkyl carbonate, carbonic acid amide and pyrrolidone, whereas no halogenated antipyrens are used. Also described is a rigid polyurethane foam produced using the said method.
EFFECT: achieved rigid polyurethane foams having an improved mechanical strength.
