FIELD: photographic industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology used in preparing photographic emulsion fit to manufacturing cinefilms and photosensitive papers. To obtain AgBr(I) microcrystals in a single continuous process from nucleation stage to full formation of crystal shells, in order to achieve more homogeneous structure of microcrystals, synthesis of silver halide emulsion is conducted in one reactor-crystallizer first obtaining silver bromide nuclei with maximum concentration of silver iodide and then growing on them shells in which silver iodide concentration is gradually lowered to minimum or zero-value. This is achieved thanks to gradually lowering potassium iodide concentration in potassium halide solution fed into reactor for two-jet crystallization. EFFECT: improved homogeneity of crystals. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 5 tbl
