SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of managing and selecting one or a set of open tabs in a tabbed browser. The method comprises displaying a web browser window on a display, the web browser window displaying a plurality of open tabs in a tab band, each open tab having separate content with web page content associated therewith, wherein the plurality of open tabs includes a currently selected tab and one or more non-selected tabs; displaying a quick selection window on the display in response to user activation of a quick selection mechanism, wherein the quick selection window displays a set of graphical views, representing web page content for each of the plurality of open tabs in the tab band, wherein each graphical view is scaled such that said web page content for each open tab is displayed in the quick selection window; receiving a user input in the quick selection window; and modifying the quick selection window based on the user input.
