METHOD OF DETECTING SEA TARGETS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC F41G7/28

Abstract RU 2554640 C2

FIELD: physics, navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for detecting underwater sea targets. Before immersing a platform in water, the immersion coordinates are input into a mobile carrier. The platform is further provided with devices for radio reception and underwater audio reception of control station signals. The active sensor mobile carrier used is an unmanned aerial vehicle with foldable wings and a rocket launch-booster stage.

EFFECT: generating an "asymmetrical" amphibious force based on "mine" (including beforehand) deployment in key areas of the World Ocean of the necessary (available) amount of equipment for all-weather around-the-clock aerial surveillance and target designation with rapid response thereof to a signal either through programming (independently "on-site"), as well as strike missiles of anti-ship systems of different types of deployment and different range of application; combining the military might of large ship groups, including aircraft carriers, through possible sudden exposure of their dislocation, structure, routes (manoeuvres) in any area of the World Ocean; unlimited clandestine build-up of a "mine" group of surveillance and target designation means while making full-scale detection and monitoring (destruction) thereof impossible for the enemy; demonstrating presence (rapid observation) in special situations, as well as use for prolonged highly detailed illumination of the environment during natural disasters and man-made disasters (including with the possibility of reuse in peace time); when designing versions of devices for implementing the present method of detecting sea targets, the export of such devices as dual-purpose products is possible.
