FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention suggests a stabilising AC voltage regulator containing an autotransformer, a control unit with output voltage feedback. The regulator comprises the autotransformer designed with two cores, at each core there is one primary winding and one control winding, the secondary winding covers both cores, a circuit of in-series and opposed primary windings is connected by its first end to the mains and by its second end to the common point of the secondary winding and load connection thus forming an in-series connection of the primary and secondary windings, the second end of the secondary winding is connected to the common point of the load and supply mains connection, to each control winding units of electronic regulators are connected and the above regulators are controlled by the control unit equipped with feedback against the output voltage through a potentiometer connected in parallel to the output winding of the stabilising AC voltage regulator.

EFFECT: providing smooth and stepless regulation and stabilisation of the output voltage and removing the switching overvoltage and interruptions in power supply, excluding current surges at switching.
