FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: muzzle brake of artillery weapon includes a chamber with outlet powder gas side openings, which is fixed on the muzzle part of the barrel, and with a central opening made in the front wall of the chamber for passage of a shell, as well as a damper. The damper is installed so that it can be offset under action of powder gas pressure till full shutoff of the central opening. An additional chamber is fixed on the front wall with the central opening. The additional chamber includes tandem central channels made in the form of tubular parts. Central channels are installed coaxially relative to the central opening. Inside the first tubular part there located are rotary dampers shutting off the central channel of the second tubular part, behind which in the wall of the tubular part there are channels, and rotary valves for passage of powder gases are installed. In the above installed covers there are side openings for exit of powder gases similar to side openings of the chamber with the central opening in its front wall.
EFFECT: increasing firing speed of weapon.
