FIELD: weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: muzzle brake contains a body in the form of a truncated ellipsoid with expansion chambers with windows and a central channel, divided inside by load-bearing partitions into four equal sectors. From the muzzle, four symmetrical expansion chambers with windows are successively formed and equipped with front vertical walls, the inner working surfaces of which have an arcuate cross-section. Expansion chambers pass into annular channels open in the direction of firing, each subsequent front wall has a smaller radius than the previous one, and their height is proportionally reduced to the front wall of the body.
EFFECT: increasing the rigidity of the muzzle brake structure, increasing the braking force of the recoil, reducing the effect of gases and shock loads on the calculation of an artillery gun.
