FIELD: rescue equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of life support, namely to devices for respiratory protection and protection of human vision from the harmful effect of unbreathable, toxic and smoke gas environment. The breathing apparatus comprises a source of compressed gas, a pulmonary unit comprising a housing with an inlet fitting, a lid, a membrane sealingly fixed between the housing and the lid, an intake valve mounted in the housing to form a control chamber, the output of which is made in the form of an inlet valve seat, a control valve which interacts through the levers with the inlet valve seat, a mask with a valve box and an exhalation valve. According to the invention the levers are mounted with the ability of axial movement with the inlet valve, and the control valve is connected with the membrane through the levers and mounted coaxially with the inlet valve seat.
EFFECT: reduce of breathing resistance by reducing the response time of the pulmonary unit to change the needs of the user in the gas flow at various modes of breathing, as well as to increase the ease of use by providing automatic switching on/off of the pulmonary unit during docking/undocking with the mask.
