FIELD: life-support means, particularly, devices for protection of man respiratory and vision organs from harmful effect of unsuitable for breathing toxic and smoke-laden atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: breathing apparatus has a source of compressed gas, mask with valve box and lung-governed automatic device with control spring and sensitive membrane contacting the valve. Lung-governed automatic device is additionally provided with locking spring, and valve of lung-governed automatic device is made in the form of rod whose end on mask side has a movable member resting on valve tail. Control spring is installed between movable member and rod support. Locking spring is installed between movable member and lung-governed automatic device body. Mask valve has protrusion whose size, when contacting the movable member of lung-governed automatic device, provides for stroke of lung-governed automatic device valve.
