FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: energy-absorbing road fence comprises supports (stands) arranged at the specified distance and limiting elements in the form of shaped metal strips attached to them by means of torsion energy-absorbing modules. A torsion energy-absorbing module comprises four energy-absorbing elements made of a section of a metal bar. Sections of the bar are bent in series so that in each torsion energy-absorbing element there are two pairs of parallel sections being working parts that scatter energy of impact due to plastic twisting, connected by struts opened at the specified angle. A fixator is installed into torsion elements. Torsion elements are connected to bases of the module by means of cylindrical elements and welding of endings of torsion elements. The proposed structure may repeatedly be used after actuation with recovery of the specified damping characteristics during minor repair operations.
EFFECT: increased safety and retaining ability of a road fence.
