FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyridincarboxylic acids and their esters and to application of said compounds as herbicides. Claimed is compound of formula , in which A is selected from nitrogen and CR5; each R1 is independently selected from C1-C10alkyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl and hydroxy (R1 groups can be optionally equivalent); R2 is selected from C1-C6alkyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl, C1-C6halogenalkyl, C3-C6halogencycloalkyl, and formula , in which W1 is selected from hydrogen and fluorine; X1 is selected from hydrogen, halogen, C1-C6alkyl, C2-C6alkenyl, C2-C6alkinyl, C1-C6alkoxy, C2-C4alkoxyalkyl, C2-C6alkylcarbonyl, C2-C4alkenyloxy, C2-C4alkinyloxy, C1-C6halogenalkyl, C2-C6halogenalkenyl, C2-C6halogenalkinyl, C1-C6halogenalkoxy, C2-C4halogenalkoxyalkyl, C2-C6halogenalkylcarbonyl, C3-C6trialkylsilyl, C2-C4halogenalkenyloxy, C2-C4halogenalkinyloxy, and -N(R7)2; Y1 is selected from hydrogen, halogen, C1-C6alkyl, C1-C6halogenalkyl, C1-C6alkoxy, C1-C6halogenalkoxy, Z1 is selected from hydrogen and fluorine; and in which, when X1 and Y1 are selected from the group, consisting of -O(CH2)nCH2- or -O(CH2)nO-, n=1 or 2; R3 and R4 represents hydrogen; R5 is selected from hydrogen, fluorine and chlorine; R6 is selected from hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, C1-C4alkyland C1-C4halogenalkyl; and R7 is selected from hydrogen, C1-C4alkyl and C1-C4halogenalkyl, with said compound being compound in form of free acid, ester or salt, acceptable for agricultural purposes. Also claimed are herbicidal composition and mixtures with application of said compound and methods of fighting weeds and undesirable vegetation, applying thereof.

EFFECT: claimed compounds and based on them compositions are herbicides with wide spectrum of weed control, with exceptional selectivity for useful plant species and with excellent toxicological profile.
